Just a Temporary Landing Page
Thank you for your interest in Red Bud Isle Park Conservancy! This is just a landing page at the moment while Seeger Water’s team works on the Official Website (launching at Thanksgiving 2025). We’re donating the time and expertise with the website and logo design (this logo is also temporary). If you have any questions, contact DJ Seeger & Justin Swinney at info@redbudislepark.org.
Welcome to the Red Bud Isle Park Conservancy
Red Bud Isle is one of Austin’s most treasured natural getaways — a peaceful peninsula where dogs roam freely, kayakers and paddleboarders launch into Lady Bird Lake, and visitors enjoy one of the city’s most unique outdoor experiences. As Austin grows, so does the responsibility to care for this special place.
Red Bud Isle Park Conservancy is a volunteer-led community group supported by the Austin Parks Foundation. Our mission is simple: ensure that Red Bud Isle remains clean, safe, ecologically healthy, and enjoyable for all — humans and pups alike.
Through stewardship, volunteerism, and collaboration with APF and Austin Parks & Recreation, we help maintain the island’s trails, shoreline, wildlife habitat, and visitor experience.
🌿 Meet the Buds
Our volunteers — affectionately known as “Buds” — are the heart of the Conservancy. Buds help clean up the park, protect wildlife, maintain trails, and educate visitors on responsible use of Austin’s largest off-leash dog area.
Anyone can become a Bud. You don’t need expertise — just a love for Red Bud Isle and a desire to give back.
🌿 What We Do
As an APF-supported volunteer group, we work to:
Conduct Monthly Cleanups: Litter removal, shoreline clearing, and trail upkeep
Support Habitat & Wildlife: Encourage native plants, reduce erosion, protect the island’s ecology
Promote Responsible Use: Help keep dogs and visitors safe through gentle education
Collaborate With the City: Report hazards and coordinate improvements with PARD
Build Community: Unite dog lovers, paddlers, neighbors, and outdoor enthusiasts
🌿 Get Involved
